Gene Gallerano is an Emmy, Grammy, and Peabody Award-winning producer, filmmaker, and actor whose work spans from heart-pounding adventure stories to deeply human character studies. Previously, Gene co-produced the Emmy-winning and Oscar-shortlisted documentary The First Wave, directed by Matthew Heineman (Cartel Land, Retrograde). Embedded inside New York City's ICUs during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gene and the team captured history in real time. The film won Emmys for Best Documentary, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing, and was distributed by Nat Geo, Participant, and Neon for Hulu. His documentary, Thank You For Listening, is about Country and Americana musician Joshua Ray Walker.
