Stepping far away from traditional depictions, Monroe completely redefined the role for a new generation. Bringing her own distinct aesthetic to the screen, she commands the film with a sharp, sleek, jet-black hairstyle, a hint of cherry lipgloss, and a breathtaking, 14-pound iridescent lavender-blue gown adorned with thousands of hand-sewn sequins and animated gold butterflies. Armed with an elegant, long, blue-diamond wand that shoots bursts of bubbles and dazzling blue fireworks, Monroe delivers a powerhouse performance that balances regal authority with infectious, high-fashion diva energy.
Beyond her striking visuals, Monroe anchors the film’s multi-million dollar musical landscape, performing the film's massive, theatrical opening ballad "Welcome to Ha's" and the soulful, show-stopping mid-credits finale "Leaving Ha's."
