It was followed by appearances in various soft porn as the 9th part of the schoolgirl report, before Karnat changed into the hardcore section. The highlight of her career as a porn actress is the title role in three pornographic films filmed at the beginning of the 1980s: in the third and fourth installments of Josefine Mutzenbacher - Wie Sie really (1982) and in Katharina and her wild stallions (1983). Including short films, Karnat participated in about 150 domestic and foreign productions for about twenty years. By the end of the 1990s, she then moderated compilations of pornographic films on video.
Since her departure from the porn industry, Karnat occasionally appears as an extra in television productions, for example in the series Der Bulle von Tölz and dr. Stefan Frank - The doctor the women trust.
