Sinopsis
A short film reimagines the 12th-century pilgrimage of one of history’s greatest explorers. Inspired an 800-year-old Andalusian text that describes the titular traveler’s pilgrimage to Mecca (1183 - 1185), The Travels of Ibn Jubayr blends incisive wit with richly textured imagery to illuminate the political, social, and cultural landscapes of the medieval Islamic world and their echoes today. The creative team includes Cannes-nominated director Alaa Eddine Aljem, writer Bane Fakih, award-winning cinematographer Amine Messadi, and composer Maurice Louca.
